At the Geelong College we have developed a leading School Swimming and Water Safety program that exceeds the required units in the Health and Physical Education Curriculum from Foundation to Year 10.

The Health and Physical Education curriculum includes four focus areas with specific reference to swimming and water safety which schools are required to teach:

  • Fundamental movement skills
  • Safety
  • Lifelong physical challenge and adventure activities

Development of knowledge and skills relating to survival swimming and basic water safety can significantly reduce a child’s drowning risk and enhance community safety.

The Geelong College can provide one off or regular swimming programs for your students.

Please contact the Recreation Centre on 5226 3129 to discuss your needs.
