The Intensive Learn to swim program remains postponed until further notice.
The Holiday Intensive Programs at The Geelong College Recreation Centre are concentrated conducted over five consecutive days. During the final week of each school holiday period the Centre hosts a Learn-to-Swim program, Learn-to-Dive program and a Squad program between 9am and 1pm.
Past programs have developed major improvements in our participants, due to small class numbers, a
quiet learning environment and qualified teachers with industry currency.
For those already enrolled in the Recreation Centre’s programs, this holiday program will assist children in consolidating skills they need to complete in order to achieve their next level, or to kickstart their progress into a new level.
Our Program caters for children of 5 years of age and older. The program, taught by experienced and qualified instructors, covers all RLSSA Swim and Survive levels and consists of 30-minute lessons.
Our program offers lessons for beginner and developing divers from 8 years of age. Lessons are conducted by Diving Australia accredited coaches and follow a series of skill-based classes focusing on fun and safety whilst also improving technique and confidence. All students are required to be safe and independent in deep water to be eligible to join the program. Diving lessons run for 1 hour.
Squad swimming in the holidays is a fantastic opportunity for our current squad swimmers to maintain and build on their technique, speed and endurance. This program is also a fantastic opportunity for students to trial our squad program. Our squad classes
run for 1 hour.
Learn-to-Swim and Squad programs are $90 per student.
Learn-to-Dive is $88 per student. (Four-day program, Monday to Thursday)
