COVID-19 Update

The Geelong College Recreation Centre has been closely monitoring the ongoing updates from the Government, Lifesaving Victoria, the Department of Education and other sources of information on COVID-19 Coronavirus.

The Recreation Centre and The Geelong College will close as of Friday the 20 March at 7.30pm. The Centre will remain closed until further notice. This is a voluntary change to our operations and not as a consequence of any reported cases of infection in the College community.

It has been a very tough decision but under the circumstances we hope you will understand and support our decision.

Learn to swim

All Learn-to-Swim lessons will finish on Friday the 20 March, Learn-to-Swim students will be given a credit for the last weeks of the program that will be missed due to the closure.

At this stage we hope to start our Learn-to-Swim term on the 14 April 2020 as per normal.

If the term is still effected by the closure of the Centre, payments made will be credited to the student.

Any correspondence required relating to our Learn-to-Swim can be directed to Sue Gook via email or by contacting the Centre on 5226 3129.

All current (3, 6 and 12 month) swimming memberships will be suspended effective of the closure date and reactivated once the centre is reopened.

A reminder that 10 visit passes don’t have an expiry date.

User Groups /Swim clubs

No user groups or swim club will be able to conduct their programs at the centre during this closure period until further notice.
