Staff and Parents Wrap Up Eat Up for 2018
NONE

The Geelong College staff and parents have worked together at the College's final Eat Up workshop of 2018 to make close to 1000 sandwiches for disadvantaged local students.

About 20 volunteers from the staff and parent communities helped make, wrap, stack and deliver the cheese sandwiches and snacks to schools in the Geelong region. This final delivery for 2018 ensures that our support schools have enough lunches to give to students in need for the rest of the school term.

Our students, parents and staff have helped make about 11,000 sandwiches since our partnership with Eat Up Australia began in late 2017. The initiative has enriched educational experiences for our students, helped bring our community closer together through community service, and given students in our support schools the fuel they need to make the most of their schooling.

Keep an eye on our website, social media and bulletin for details of the College's Eat Up volunteering opportunities in 2019.
