Congratulations to Year 8 student Georgie Norris, who has represented Australia in the FISAF Dance Aerobics International World Championships in the Netherlands.

Georgie and her dance partner Kameron Brooks have been training hard for their moment on the world stage, which paid off with a fourth place in the Junior Worlds Duo division. There were 12 countries represented in her division.

She was among 74 athletes who qualified for Australia. Dance aerobics comprises a routine showing agility, strength, flexibility, coordination, partnership and tricks, which are choreographed to a two-minute music track. The demanding sport is a mix of aerobics, dance and a bit of gymnastics.

Georgie has been involved with Aerosport Allstars for nine years and practises 16 hours a week. Congratulations on a fantastic achievement!
