At The Geelong College we welcome scholarship applications from students who believe they can make a positive contribution to our vibrant learning community.
We offer scholarships from Years 7 to 11, and encourage diversity and excellence at the College through this program.
Academic, Boarding and Music Scholarships are offered from Years 7 to 11. From time to time other specialist scholarships are offered, these will be listed below when applications are open.
The fee remission offered to each candidate is at the discretion of the Principal and will take into consideration the scholarship exam results as well as current school performance and the candidate's community, sporting and personal achievements.
All scholarship candidates* must sit an examination facilitated by Edutest at The College on Saturday 18 February, for entry into 2018.
A College presentation, morning tea and tours for parents will be available during the test.
The Scholarship test will commence at 8.45am and finish at 12noon on Saturday 18 February.
Please be at Robertson Hall, Geelong College Middle School, 399 Aberdeen St Newtown at 8.30am for registration.
Scholarship applications for entry into 2018 are now closed.
*All external students applying for music scholarships are required to sit the academic scholarship test as well as audition. Current Geelong College students will only be required to audition. Auditions take place after the academic testing.
All scholarship applicants must be Australian residents.
Practice tests are available from Edutest here. These tests cover Verbal Reasoning, Numerical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension and Mathematics and are suitable for students from Year 6 to Year 10 (current Year Level).
The scholarship exams also include a Written Expression component which is not replicated in the practice tests. Click here for more information on the practice tests.

The College has a vibrant music program offering individual lessons and ensembles of high standards across a range of instruments and musical styles. Music Scholarship recipients will be offered full remission of instrumental tuition fees on one instrument (for current Geelong College students) and full remission of instrumental tuition fees on one instrument and part remission of academic fees (for new students to Geelong College).
