House of Guilds
The House of Guilds, which was opened in 1935 as a home for hobbies and crafts, takes its name from the craft guilds, or brotherhoods of workmen, in the Middle Ages.
The Council planned the Centre to become a focus for creative activity, not only within the College, but for the community at large and for continuing education programs. Membership of the Centre entitles a person to the same use of the facilities as is available to College students.
