Academic Scholarships for entry to Years 7, 9 and 11 and Boarding Scholarships for Years 9 and 11 will be awarded on the basis of results obtained in the ACER Scholarship testing Programme; interviews and/or supporting documentation may also be required.

Music Scholarships are awarded on the basis of an audition during February/March of the year prior to entry.

In all cases, Scholarships awarded must be taken up in the year they are offered and are tenable at The Geelong College only.

Scholarships may be withdrawn if a scholar's subsequent work or conduct is unsatisfactory.

A number of Scholarships have been endowed on the basis that they should be awarded to those who would otherwise have difficulty in obtaining or completing their education at an independent school. Preference may be given to students whose parents would find the full fees a financial burden if evidence to this effect can be produced. Details should be attached to the entry form if financial consideration is needed.

Entries for Scholarships (Academic, Boarding, Visual Arts or Music) incur a fee of $75, which must be paid at the time the application form is lodged. Applications received without the fee will not be processed.

Academic, Boarding, Visual Arts and Music Scholarship entries received after the closing date will not be processed.
