Year 11

H. For entry to Year 11

Incorporating the Harold J Thorogood, Stuart Murray, William Andrew Taylor, P G Pullar, Howard Hitchcock and Jack McLennan Scholarships.

One scholarship, valued at three terms’ tuition fees per annum and tenable for two years, will be awarded to a student who does not already attend the College.

The academic and other progress of the scholarship holder will be reviewed at the end of Year 11.

I. For entry to Year 11 - The Howard Hitchcock Scholarship for the Visual Arts

The Howard Hitchcock Scholarship for the Visual Arts is awarded every two years to a student entering Year 11 who shows outstanding talent in any aspect of the Visual Arts and who is undertaking two Arts subjects in Years 11 and 12.

The scholarship is valued at one term’s tuition fees per annum and is tenable for two years. It will be awarded on the basis of a portfolio to be judged by a panel of teachers led by the Head of Fine and Applied Arts. Applicants will be given a list of criteria on which the selection will be based. Financial need may also be taken into consideration by the Principal in the awarding of the scholarship.

The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the College Art Collection.

J. For entry to Year 11 - The Francis and Aline Roland Scholarship (boarding)

Tenablefor two years, this scholarship will be awarded to a student wishing to enter boarding in Year 11. It will be based on academic merit and all-round ability.

Supporting documentation, such as school reports and evidence of a wide range of interests, must be included with the application.

The value of this scholarship is $7,000 per annum.

The academic and general progress of the scholarship holder will be reviewed at the end of Year 11.

PLEASE NOTE THAT SCHOLARSHIP HOLDERS ARE NOT ENTITLED TO OTHER CONCESSIONS SUCH AS SIBLING DISCOUNT.
